Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). This data is required to deliver the pages and to ensure the security and stability of the system. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

The hosting provider is STRATO AG, Berlin; the servers are located in data centres in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. Server log files containing IP addresses are deleted after seven days at the latest. The hosting provider also makes aggregated access statistics available to us (page views, sessions, referring pages, browsers). These are based on the connection data described above; the website itself sets no cookies and embeds no analytics scripts for this purpose.

Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the details you provide (request type, name, company, email address, message, phone number if given) solely to handle your enquiry and follow-up questions. The form transmits your details to our server over an encrypted connection; the server forwards them by email to our mailbox. The details are not stored permanently on the web server. The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

The form contains a protective field invisible to humans that filters automated submissions. No data about you is collected in the process.

Advisory services of LOHR+COMPANY GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft

L+C Technology GmbH develops and distributes software. It does not provide tax advice, legal advice or audit services. Tax, business and assurance-related advisory services, for example on interpreting the results obtained with our software, can be provided at your request by LOHR+COMPANY GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. It is a legally independent company and the separate controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR for the data processed in that context. Such services are provided solely on the basis of a separate engagement directly between you and LOHR+COMPANY; they are part neither of the use of this website nor of the use of our software.

We pass on details from your enquiry to LOHR+COMPANY only if you expressly request this, for example because you ask for advice or for contact by its expert team. The legal basis in that case is the taking of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Only the details required to make contact are transmitted. LOHR+COMPANY is responsible for any further processing within the engagement; its privacy notice and the professional duty of confidentiality under German audit law (Section 43 WPO) apply.

Cookies, tracking and analytics

This website does not use cookies, stores nothing in your browser’s local storage and does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services. Consent under Section 25 of the German TDDDG is therefore not required.

When you first open the start page from outside this website, the server redirects you to the English version if German is not the first of the languages set in your browser (“Accept-Language” header). Nothing is stored and no location is determined; you can switch languages at any time using the toggle in the menu.

Fonts, scripts and media

Fonts, scripts, images and videos are loaded exclusively from our own server. No third-party content such as font libraries, map services, video platforms or social networks is embedded. Playing the videos does not transfer any data to third parties.

Links to other providers

The website contains links to our company page and the founders’ profiles on LinkedIn and to the website of LOHR+COMPANY GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. No social media plugins are used.

Disclosure of data

Your data is disclosed to third parties only where this is necessary to handle your enquiry (for example to the hosting provider as a processor) or where we are legally obliged to do so. Data is passed on to LOHR+COMPANY GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft solely at your express request (see “Advisory services of LOHR+COMPANY GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft”). The website is hosted in Germany. Our email mailbox is operated by Microsoft (Exchange Online); details of processing by Microsoft, including possible transfers to third countries and the safeguards that apply, are set out in Microsoft’s privacy documentation. Beyond that, we do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Union.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Please use the contact details above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy describes the current technical state of the website. When we introduce new features or the legal basis changes, we update it and publish the new version on this page. The version published here is the one that applies.
